Programmatic Accreditation

Established Programmatic Accreditation


Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
The Faculty of Engineering (FE) was officially accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied sciences, computing, engineering, and engineering technology, across the three campuses in 2016 and retroactive to Fall 2013. The programs that were accredited are the following: Civil Engineering, Computer and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. In 2022, ABET reaffirmed the FE’s accreditation for a full cycle, a follow-up to the initial certification in 2016.

 

Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
The Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences (FNAS) was accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied sciences, computing, engineering, and engineering technology, across the three campuses in 2018 and retroactive to Fall 2016, for its Bachelor of Science program in Computer Science.

 

Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)
The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics is an accredited member of AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

AACSB accreditation is known, worldwide, as the longest-standing, most recognized form of specialized accreditation that an institution and its business programs can earn. Accreditation is a voluntary, nongovernmental process that includes a rigorous external review of a school's mission, faculty qualifications, curricula, and ability to provide the highest-quality programs.

 

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
The Department of Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics received the formal accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) for its Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2018, and its Bachelor of Business Administration in Banking and Finance in 2021.

 

The International Advertising Association (IAA)

In 1999, the Department of Media Studies in the Faculty of Humanities (FH) at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) received formal accreditation from the International Advertising Association (IAA) for its Bachelor of Arts program in Advertising and Marketing. This accreditation distinguished NDU as the sole Lebanese university holding such recognition.


In 2023, the IAA reaffirmed its accreditation of NDU's Bachelor of Arts program in Advertising and Marketing at the Faculty of Humanities (FH) until 2026.

International Association of Film and Television Schools (CILECT)

The Department of Media Studies in the Faculty of Humanities received the formal accreditation from the International Association of Film and Television Schools for its Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts - Radio and Television in 2017. This is an academic recognition for the superior quality of its program.


Candidacy for Accreditation


National Architecture Accreditation Board (NAAB)
The Department of Architecture at the Ramez G. Chagoury Faculty of Architecture, Arts, and Design is officially eligible for candidacy for NAAB accreditation. The Department has submitted its Architecture Program Report for Initial Candidacy to the NAAB committee, and a campus visit is scheduled for Fall 2023.
