Hospitality Management - HSM 451

Analysis of hospitality operating practices and policies and their managerial implications on the individual and group behavior in the organizational setting. The focus is on the acquisition and implementation of leadership styles to enhance organizational effectiveness and individual well-being. The course includes the study of group behavior, attitudes and stress management, communication, motivation, leadership, power politics, conflict, and organizational culture. Life case discussions and field projects are included. Prerequisite: HSM 314.
