Protocol and Etiquette in Events Management - HVM 420

This course outlines the importance of protocol and etiquette in events management. The student will enhance his/her manners and savoir vivre skills in conducting events and business transactions. Areas that will be emphasized include: the knowledge of agenda and time management, verbal and written communication, guest management, media management, dress codes, postures and gestures, and table manners. The outcome of the course is a student that carefully and professionally deals with both: known situations and difficult or unfamiliar situations to avoid any social “faux pas” that could ruin a perfectly good business deal. Prerequisite: HVM 201.
