What is the price per credit?

I have received my acceptance letter how should I proceed to pay the down payment for registration?
First you should obtain the
social security clearance
by filling the required papers. Secondly, you get the
medical lab
clearance and then see the
down payment dates
set and settle the fees at any branch of Byblos Bank or Bank of Beirut (

Should I renew the social security clearance every semester?
No, the
social security clearance
is done once at the beginning of every academic year and prior to the down payment.
How much do I have to settle as remaining fees for the current semester, and where?
After the down payment, the remaining tuition fees are divided into
three installments
, paid in any branch of Byblos Bank or Bank of Beirut. N.B: Don’t forget to consult your SIS.
When is the first installment due?
Your tuition is divided into four installments: one down payment and three equal installments settled during one semester. (

Is the parking added to my tuition fees and how should I pay the fees?
No, your parking fees are not added to the tuition installment. You will have to settle the fees along with your first tuition installment at the specified bank on the
due date
.
Are the dormitory fees added on my tuition fees?
No, the
dorms fees
are not added on your
tuition fees
but paid along with the tuition installment at the specified bank on the due dates. Once you fill your dorms application you should pay a deposit at the Business Office, which will be refunded to you after you leave your room.
Can I have a detailed statement of account?
You can know all the details of you remaining fees by consulting the
Student Information System (SIS)
.
If I need more information concerning my statement of account whom should I contact?
You can always pass by the Business Office for more clarifications or write your comments in the “comments and suggestion box” under the SIS
What are the payment dates for the whole academic year?
For your convenience and use, the payment dates are scheduled for the whole year (

).
I have a full-time job and I want to be a part-time student
Prior to the down payment dates you should either pass by the Business Office or
send an e-mail
to notify us of the change.
I have missed the down payment deadline; can I still pay it and register on time?
Yes, you can still pay your down payment prior to
registration day
. The only problem you would encounter is that you would be penalized with an extra LBP/100,000/ added to your fees and would be late unlock your ID for registration.
I could not pay the down payment as my name and ID # do not appear at the bank; what should I do?
You should have your
Social Security
papers’ cleared prior to paying the down payment.
How much should my GPA be to get scholarship discount and what should I do to benefit from the scholarship discount?
Your efforts are recognized and compensated by
percentages

If I need to apply for financial aid, what should I do?
You should pass by the
Financial Aid
Office.
I have dropped a course during the drop/add period what are the charges added to my account?
Even though you have dropped during the drop/add period you should pay 25% of the dropped credits added to your tuition fees. During the Summer Session no refund for any dropped credits is given.(refer to
refund policy
)
Admissions and OTME
If I graduated from an English speaking high school, do I need to submit a TOEFL / English Placement test score?
The TOEFL or the writing section in SAT I or the NDU English Entrance Test is still required.
I did not do the SAT 1. Can I take the University's Entrance Exam?
You can substitute the SAT 1 for the University's Aptitude Test.
I did not do the TOEFL and /or the SAT 1. Can I take the University's English Exam?
You can substitute the TOEFL for the University's English Entrance Test (EET).
What are the required scores in the International TOEFL and the EET?
These scores are posted on our website under the Admissions & OTME section, "Requirements” subtitle.
I am very weak in English. Can I still join NDU?
Yes of course. Students in this case will attend Intensive English classes (four hours a day / five days per week).
When is the deadline to submit my application?
If you are applying for the Spring semester, the deadline is November 30.
If you are applying for the Fall semester, the deadlines are: May 1st -June 1st and July 1st –August 1st
Can I transfer my credits from NDU to another university?
NDU is accredited by the Lebanese Ministry of Higher Education. Transfer policies differ between universities. Students need to check the transfer policy of the university they wish to transfer to and contact the university directly to make transfer arrangements.
How many letters of recommendation do I need?
One letter of recommendation is required. It must be stamped by the students' secondary schools. In the case of transfer students, the stamp must be from their college/university.
When is the admissions office open?
Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (winter time)
Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (summer time: July-August and September)
If I studied in an accredited college or university, what do you consider "official transcripts"?
Transcripts are considered official when they are received from the accredited college/university, in a sealed envelope.
What are each Faculty Admission Requirements?

What are the required documents with the undergraduate and graduate applications?
These documents are posted on our website under the Admissions & OTME section - "Admission Applications” subtitle.
I want to transfer into one of the undergraduate programs at NDU. Will all of my credits transfer?
Transfer of credits is subject to evaluation. Students must provide the Admissions Office with official transcripts and course descriptions.
I want to apply to the MBA Program:
a. Do I need to take the International TOEFL or the University English Placement Exam?
All students need to submit TOEFL scores or sit for NDU English Entrance Test. Students who have completed their Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited American university will be exempted.
b. Do I need a GMAT?
Applicants are required to submit a GMAT score.
c. When are the MBA classes held?
Classes are held in the evening. Each class meets one night a week from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
When can I take the University Placement Exams?

Student Housing
What are curfew hours?
In this case, a curfew is a regulation requiring students to be physically present in the student housing at the following prescribed hours:
Sunday-Thursday:
Midnight to 7:00 a.m.
Friday & Saturday:
2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Is there a storage facility for student belongings?
There is no storage facility for students during the academic year. Students should not bring personal belongings on campus that cannot be easily stored in their room.
At the end of the Spring or Summer Semester, students can leave items in the storage area until they return in September (this attracts a fee). Due to safety measures, the storage areas cannot be opened after they have been locked for the summer, so students should not store anything they might later require.
Are residents allowed to have electrical equipment in their rooms?
Residents are allowed to bring basic electrical equipment into their rooms, which may include a PC, hairdryer, TV. Electric plates and small gas stoves are strictly prohibited. Residents are strongly urged to unplug all electrical appliances (except the fridge) once they complete their task.
What should residents bring?
Residents may require bed linen (sheets and covers), towels, hairdryer, kitchenware (dishes, cups, pan/pot, and utensils), detergents (laundry and dishwashing), and personal belongings.
How can residents pay the Student Housing fees?
For new residents, the deposit and 40% of the total fee for the semester are to be paid in the business office upon applying. The rest will be divided to three payments, which can be paid through a bank (Bank Byblos / Bank Beirut). Former residents will continue to make all payments through the Bank.
How can residents access their rooms?
When the student is accepted as a resident, his/her NDU I.D. will be programmed to open all doors leading to his/her room.
How is maintenance sustained?
Any resident suffering from problems in his/her room should immediately inform the front desk. The maintenance staff will act upon the complaint within 24 hours.
Are pets allowed?
No pets are allowed in the student housing facility.
How do residents get Internet connection, cable TV connection, and telephone services?
The Student Housing is equipped with wireless Internet connections. Residents will enjoy direct access to the web upon acceptance.
Every room has cable TV connection. Some rooms (Block A) are provided with TVs while others are not. The resident can bring his/her own TV.
Every room has an internal phone number connected to a handset. All internal calls are free-of-charge. To make external calls, the resident has to go through the business office to pay the amount he/she needs to charge to his/her account.
To gain external access, 53 is the number to dial.
Where can residents eat?
The Student Housing offers a catering service in the Student Housing lounge. Fast-food deliveries are also allowed every day until midnight (ask for menus at the front desk).
Residents can also cook their own meals given Student Housing provides a full–equipped kitchen at Level One.
Residents can also bring their own meals from home. A small kitchenette is provided in each level along with microwaves, tables, and seats. This kitchen is only for reheating food and not cooking.
