#NDUER SELECTED IN GLOBAL UGRAD PROGRAM |U.S.
NDUer Walid Faddoul, Former Secretary General and Founder of Notre Dame University-Louaize Model United Nations (NDU MUN), was selected as part of the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) to travel to the U.S. for one full semester of studies.

This international, non-degree program is an annual endeavor that offers scholarships to students with exceptional leadership and communication skills from around the world to study in the U.S.

For his part, Faddoul said, “This year, the Global UGRAD announced registration in early November 2017. I applied for this program through World Learning's student portal. In February 2018, I was shortlisted and contacted for an interview at the U.S. embassy in Lebanon. A month later, the embassy informed me that I had been selected. The final step toward acceptance was to sit for a TOEFL exam. Following the TOFEL results, I learned that I was accepted as a finalist.”

He added, “This program accepts four finalists from Lebanon and a few alternates (in the case where a finalist chooses to withdraw).”

Faddoul will be attending Carroll College in Helena, Montana, in fall 2018. The all-expenses-paid program will last for four months. He will be traveling in mid-August 2018 and returning in mid-December 2018.
