Sibelle Al Hayek, Ph.D.

Dr. Sibelle Al Hayek is an Assistant Professor of Nutrition at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) in Lebanon, where she has been teaching nutrition and health courses to undergraduate and graduate students since January 2021. Licensed as a dietitian since July 2015, Dr. Al Hayek brings valuable practical experience to her academic role.

She earned her Ph.D. in Medical Nutrition Sciences from the University of Kansas, USA, in 2021. Throughout her academic and professional career, Dr. Al Hayek has actively participated in research projects in both Lebanon and the USA. Her primary research interests focus on the importance of nutrition and dietary intake methods, as well as the factors that influence body composition.

In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Al Hayek is a certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI). In August 2021, she completed comprehensive training in the development and implementation of risk-based preventive controls through the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA). Her ongoing commitment to learning and expertise in food safety further enhance her contributions to the fields of nutrition and health.
