Housekeeping Operations and Management - HTM 227
This course
is an introduction to the management of
housekeeping operations, which is the act
of overseeing the organizational, financial,
and day-to-day housekeeping operations
of a hotel. Management of housekeeping
includes supervision of staff, scheduling, the
physical maintenance, the cleaning process
and products, characteristics of materials
and supplies, linen and laundry, selection and
maintenance of fabrics, furniture and floor
coverings, safety within the work environment,
and housekeeping technology. Prerequisite:
HTM 201; Corequisite: HTM 224.
