Lebanon’s Cultural, Heritage and Nature Tourism - HTM 326
This
course enables the students to understand
the elements and characteristics of domestic
tourism and the role each major stakeholder
plays within the tourism value chain. The
strong experiential dimension of this course
through the various group and class field trips
across Lebanon expose the students to the
reality and challenges of domestic travel &
tourism and allows them to experiment with
different types of tourism such as nature
tourism, cultural tourism, volunteerism, agri-tourism, dark tourism, eco-tourism, religious
tourism, rural tourism, sports and adventure
tourism, culinary tourism, and VFR tourism. In
addition, this course will introduce the students
to the basics of managing a rural destination.
Prerequisite: Junior standing.
