Protocol and Etiquette in Hospitality Management - HTM 320
This
course enhances students’ knowledge and
appreciation of good social manners and savoir
vivre in delivering services and conducting
hospitality interactions. Areas emphasized
include: the impact of good etiquette, looks and communication, meetings and social
events, diversity and conflicts, and globalization
and traveling. The outcome of the course is
a student who carefully and professionally
deals with both known as well as difficult or
unfamiliar situations to avoid any social “faux
pas” that could ruin a perfectly good hospitality
service. Prerequisite: Junior standing.
