Hospitality Sales and Promotional Techniques - HTM 437
This
course aims at converting advanced tourism,
hospitality and events marketing planning into
effective promotional and sales strategies and
tactics. Focus is on understanding the specifics
of the industry and the experiential expectations
of guests and travelers, then building
appropriate promotional communication
and relationships, ending with the diverse
customized sales techniques available. The
underlying philosophy is being that every person
engaged in the hospitality industry has an
intrinsic responsibility for sales and promotion.
An analysis of hospitality buyers’ motivations
and behaviour, and the related effective
promotional and sales techniques. This partly
experiential course provides the opportunity to
develop and practice promotional and personal-selling skills. Prerequisite: Senior standing.
