Principles of Financial Management I - BAF 311
The purpose
of this course is to introduce the concepts
of planning, controlling, and monitoring
financial resources in order to achieve and
optimize the organizational objectives.
Topics covered include calculation of cash
flows, financial statement analysis, time
value of money, stock and bond valuation,
capital budgeting techniques, risk-return
trade-off, and the security market line. For
Financial Engineering and Banking and
Finance students, the passing grade is “C”.
Prerequisites: ACO 201 and STA 220 or ACO
201 & STA 210 or ACO 201 and MAT 325 or
ACO 201 & MAT 326.
