Actuarial and Data Sciences - ACS 450
The course equips students with
foundation elements of predictive analytics
tools and techniques for solving business
and actuarial problems. Through several
applications, the course illustrates linear models, generalized linear models, decision
trees, principal component analysis, and
cluster analysis. Students will acquire skills
to fit these statistical models, evaluate their
performance, select model features, and
interpret the output produced. Prerequisites:
STA 315 and STA 312.
