Discovering Astronomy - AST 201
This course is a non-calculus based
introduction to astronomy. It explores the
wonders of the universe using observations
from space and from the ground. It covers
the solar system, stars and their evolution
(black holes, white dwarfs…), galaxies and
cosmology (the Big-Bang…). The course will
include an observing night to discover the
night sky, readings, and some elementary
observations. Not open to physics students.
