Soil Chemistry and Pollution - CHM 433
This course covers chemistry of
inorganic and organic soil components with
emphasis on environmental significance of
soil solution-solid phase equilibrium, sorption
phenomena, ion exchange processes,
reaction kinetics, redox reactions, and
acidity and salinity processes. It also covers
soil pollution such as sources, dispersion,
and remediation methods. Prerequisites:
CHM 215, CHM 222, BIO 211.
