Environment, Society and Ethics - ENS 205
This course is an
introduction to the environmental goods
and services. Impacts of population
growth and economic development on the
environment, the evolution of societies,
community organizations and the quality
of life are presented. Special focus is
given to the value types and existing moral
relationships between human beings and
their environment, environmental ethics
views, their evolution and effects on
the environment and wildlife protection.
Sustainability principles and the impacts
of international policies, environmental
management worldviews and legally binding
agreements on natural resources, societies
and the world’s economic balance are
emphasized.
