Plant Genomics and Biotechnology - BIO 620

This course explores the modern techniques employed in plant genome modification: cloning and sequencing of nucleic acids, gene isolation and mapping, genetic transformation, and germplasm collection. The relevance of plant biotechnology to the different sectors of the economy will be discussed. Prerequisite: Consent of advisor.
