Modernism in Abbasid Poetry - ARB 333

This course is based on the study of the evolution of poetry in the Abbasid era through selected texts. The renovation trend and its reflection on literature are also addressed. The Sho’ubian movement, Sufism, and their effect on philosophical thought and translations are highlighted.
