Fundamentals of Discourse Analysis - ENL 316
This course aims
at introducing students to the different
structural and communicative levels of discourse: textual organization (i.e. reference,
cohesion, coherence, etc.), shared beliefs
(i.e. presupposition, implicature, given
new information structures, etc.), and
conversational analysis (i.e. turn taking,
interruptions, etc.). Prerequisite: ENL 301.
