Type Design and Experimental Typography - GDP 361
Students will learn
the principles of designing fonts ready for
print and screen. They transfer the manually
developed typeface into true type font
using professional software. Furthermore,
this course will provide the opportunity
to experiment with type and research
various methods and techniques to serve a
pragmatic purpose to express ideas using
type. The students will also learn how to
develop a visual identity system and how
to combine type with signs and symbols.
Prerequisites: GDP 317, GDP 322.
