Government and Politics of Israel - POS 304

This course provides an overview of the political system of Israel, highlighting its ideological, economic, social and cultural variables. It will introduce students to the historical, geopolitical, and ideological foundations of the Israeli state, the nature of its institutions, and their particular embeddedness in the Arab world, focusing on Lebanon and the Eastern Mediterranean in general.
