History of Decorative Arts and Craft - FAC 213
This course examines major achievments from prehistoric period to the beginning of the 20th century, with a focus on 17 th through early 20th cenuries European and American decorative arts. The course covers ceramics, fiber arts, metalsmithing, jewellery, wood and furniture. Emphasis is placed on how craft objects reflect the culture, the societies and the times in which they were created. Required: students should have passed all remedial English courses to enroll in this course.
