The 9th edition marked the spread of the NDUIFF on the national and international level; the festival is present at the Arab Cinema Market at Malmo Arab Film Festival in Sweden, and at the Dubai Film
Market at DIFF 2015; NDUIFF signed a Memorandum
of Understanding with the Lebanese Ministry of
Tourism, to become a part of the Lebanese Pavilion
at Cannes Film Festival; subsequently, “Of Land,
People and Culture” a new award by the ministry
was offered at the festival; another MOU was signed
with the Ministry of Culture to establish the Lebanese
Cinema Museum at NDU Campus; add to that the
launching of “M sparks” the NDUIFF short film
funding program with Mmedia.
As a result of its perseverance and success, NDUIFF
won at the 5th Social Economic Award 2015 for the
category “Youth Empowerment”
The 9th NDUIFF honored the Lebanese Legend Abdel
Halim Caracalla and his theater; and the program
included Master’s Classes with Khaled Mouzanar,
Hady Zaccak, Ana Catarina Ferreira from Portugal
and Chris Kriesa from Los Angeles.
