Salwa Karam, PhD

Holder of a PhD in Sociology from the Lebanese University, Dr. Karam’s research has focused on women, labor and freedom; foreign female labor in Lebanon; and women’s freedom from the perspective of Lebanese men. As a Research Fellow at LERC, she is working on the impact of emigration on three villages in South Lebanon.
