Overview:

The workshop aims to introduce school students to architecture, emphasizing the importance of university education. Goals include increasing awareness of theoretical concepts, demonstrating practical applications, and inspiring students to consider architecture as a fulfilling career. Objectives involve hands-on design exercises, providing resources for career exploration, and fostering interactive discussions on pursuing architecture as a profession.


Daily Schedule:

Start Time: 9:00 AM

End Time: 1:30 PM


Suggested Program:

Day 1:

- Session A: "Your Passion, Your Vocation, Your Mission, Your Profession"
- Session B: "Find Your Coordinates"

Day 2:

- Project 1: Solo

Day 3:

- Project 2: Group Work


Outcome:

Participants will gain insight into the initial steps of pursuing a versatile profession, particularly through university education in architecture. They will learn how theoretical concepts are applied in practical scenarios, aiding in understanding the relevance and importance of their studies.


Trainers:

- Issam Chemaly holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) and a Master of Arts in Design from NDU. He is the founder of an architecture office, as well as an author and columnist.
- Lea Hanna holds a Bachelor of Architecture from NDU. She currently serves as an architect at Raed Abillama Architects.


Certificate of Completion:

Upon successfully completing the camp, participants will receive a certificate of attendance. 


Fees and Payment:

The fee for the camp is USD 100. Payment is required at the NDU Business Office in Zouk Mosbeh before July 2, 2024, or via online payment as decided by the University. This fee covers supplies used for the camp, snacks, and refreshments.
