Overview:

This 20-hour photography workshop is designed to help participants achieve better photographic results and capture the world the way they want to see it. 

Daily Schedule:

Start Time: 9:00 AM

End Time: 1:00 PM

Suggested Program:

Day 1:

Understanding the technical aspects of photography, including aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. Exploring camera modes, depth of field, and lens focal length. Presentation on elements of design and framing. Hands-on exercises for layout and composition, focusing on improving framing techniques for photography.

Day 2:

Presentation of the project brief and Introduction to how photographic projects are developed. Guest photographer present. Start developing projects with students.

Day 3:

Editing session 1 on Adobe Lightroom and project development.

 

Day 4

Editing session 2 on Adobe Lightroom and project development.

 

Day 5

Presentation of participants' projects followed by an exhibition at the faculty's Art Gallery.

 

Participants:

Open to school students in Grades 10, 11, and 12.

 

Outcome:

Participants will work on a final project, have a feedback session, and present to a small Jury with potential exhibition opportunities.

Trainer:

Cliff Makhoul; Senior laboratory assistant and part-time faculty at the Faculty of Architecture, Arts, and Design.

Certificate of Completion:

Upon successfully completing the camp, participants will receive a certificate of attendance. 

Fees and Payment:

The fee for the camp is USD 150. Payment is required at the NDU Business Office in Zouk Mosbeh before July 9, 2024, or via online payment as decided by the University. This fee includes snacks, refreshments, and health insurance during camp hours. A non-refundable first payment of USD 50 is required upon registration.
