Overview:

This camp offers hands-on experiments and activities covering various subjects including Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Math, Actuarial Sciences, Physics, and Astrophysics. Additionally, it aims to make learning fun, memorable, and inspiring for all participants, fostering a love for science and exploration. It also provides insight into career opportunities in the applied and natural sciences field, both in Lebanon and abroad.

Daily Schedule:

Start Time: 9:00 AM

End Time: 2:30 PM

Suggested Program:

Each participant can choose one of four tracks. Click here to see the program.

 

All five activities are common for all participants. However, to ensure diversity, students will be assigned to one of the aforementioned five activities each day. This rotation system guarantees that students do not participate in the same activity more than once in a week.

Participants:

Open to school students in Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12.

Outcome:

Exposure to practical applications of scientific knowledge sparks curiosity and enthusiasm, motivating attendees to pursue further education and careers in the science fields at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU). Ultimately, involvement in a science summer camp can serve as a catalyst for lifelong learning, personal advancement, and achievement in scientific pursuits.

Certificate of Completion:

Upon successfully completing the camp, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.  

Fees and Payment:

The fee for the camp is USD 150. Payment is required at the NDU Business Office in Zouk Mosbeh before July 20, 2024, or via online payment as decided by the University. This fee covers laboratory materials needed for experiments, snacks, refreshments, and health insurance coverage during camp hours.
