Eddy Maroun
Eddy Maroun is the co-founder of Anghami – the leading music streaming service in the Middle East.
In 2012, Eddy and his partner Elie Habib launched Anghami (My tunes in Arabic), seizing the opportunity of a lack of proper digital music service. Since then, Anghami has reached over 70 million users and streams close to 1 Billion tracks a month with 30 million licensed Arabic and English songs/videos, and integrated with more than 20 mobile operators. Anghami, successfully, raised funds from VCs, telcos and partnered with MBC, the largest media group in the region to raise digital awareness.
Eddy handles the business development and strategic partnerships in Anghami, among music labels, telcos, advertisers and media. Eddy holds a master’s in Private Law and an MBA in International Business from Bordeaux Business School (Kedge).
He is a musician at heart with a life-long experience in live, digital and mobile entertainment.
In 2013, Eddy was selected as Endeavor high-impact entrepreneur, Lebanese Top Entrepreneur in 2012, 2013 and listed in Lebanon’s Forbes Top 100 in 2018.
