Dr. Pascale Chemaly
Pascale Chemaly graduated from NDU in 1998 with a BA in Advertising Marketing, double major in Radio/Television. With the value of lifelong learning instilled in her from her undergraduate days at the University, she went on to pursue an MA in Multimedia, Cinema, and Television in 2010, and earned that degree from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK). Four years later, in 2014, she earned from USEK her Ph.D. in Visual Performing Arts (Television). She traveled to the U.S. to pursue two certificates from the Advanced Study of the U.S. Institute for Scholars on Journalism and Media (2017), Ohio State University.
Her passion and drive are boundless, and as a result, success has come in many forms.
As a professional media consultant and successful TV and radio host, she has been a regular face on local TV (ICN, OTV, Tele Liban…) for more than two decades. Her most current TV program is the popular morning show Yawm Jdeed (New Day), which airs on OTV.
As an academician, she lectures in the disciplines of marketing, communications, and media at different universities, both in Lebanon and abroad. She has also served as assistant professor since 2016 at Cass University in Paris, France, for the DBA program.
The U.S. Embassy in Lebanon selected her from among a long list of hopefuls to represent her country on the academic front in the USA. She was also chosen to participate in AEJMC international conference in Chicago where she gave a talk about “Public Diplomacy/ Nation Branding,” which targeted participants from 16 countries.
As a humanitarian, she is the president an NGO called Research, Education and Cultural (REC) association that helps Lebanese students pursue their education as well as a media and PR consultant for Youth Against Drugs (JAD).
