Pierre Akl

An NDU alumnus, Pierre Akl quickly carved his way up the corporate ladder, starting from accounting assistant in 1995 to become the Vice-President of Indevco Group, leading the corrugated manufacturing trading and supply chain activities for all business units in the MENA. “Hard work pays off” was engraved in his DNA, coming from a family who made sure to instill in him the central values of education, hard work, and commitment. Commitment to reach his own aspirations while helping those around him. “Rise by lifting others” was and still is to this day his common ground in all of his achievements.

An avid believer of continuous self-development and growth, he has participated in numerous leadership executive programs in Europe and the Americas while presently completing his studies as a certified coach with the International Coach Federation (ICF). When not conducting multimillion deal negotiations, he is usually found sailing along the Mediterranean coast. Devoted to his Phoenician ancestry as well as being an avid patriot and seafarer, he currently serves as chairman of the International Maritime Academy of Lebanon (IMA).

Always a curious “child” by nature, like a modern-day Ulysses and self-discovery adventurer, he is always drafting a new course in search of his own Ithaca.
