Walid is currently holding the position of “Directeur - Responsable IT Audit” at SGBL sal, with the responsibilities of auditing the IT environment for SGBL and its subsidiaries. Also, he is currently the Vice President & Treasurer at ISACA – Lebanon chapter and a member of the Institute of Internal Audit - Lebanon.

He has more than 25 years’ experience in IT systems. Ranging from IT Support, Network and Security Administrator (Windows AD – Cisco networks, AS400…) through IT Security and Business Continuity till the current function in IT Auditing.

He provided internal training on Data Analysis using the ACL software to BLOM in Lebanon and through its subsidiaries. He also conducted awareness session for Audi Bank employees. In addition, he delivers the CISA preparation sessions with the ISACA Lebanon. He provided several sessions on Data Analysis, IT Security & IT Audit.

Walid holds a BS Computer Sciences from Notre Dame University-Louaize, CISA, CRISC, CDRE and, ACDA Certifications, successfully passed the ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and PRINCE2 Foundation exams. He is also an APMG Accredited Trainer for the CISA and CRISC certifications.
