Campus Ministry and Pastoral Work at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) strongly believe that the joy of Christmas is in the giving, which is why the University invites each year children from underprivileged homes to gather at the main campus and celebrate Christmas in a special event organized especially for them.
On December 21, 2017, the excited children were first taken to visit the Nativity Scene near the main administration building before heading to the University Chapel where they prayed. Following prayers, they were escorted to the Exhibition Hall where the festivities really took off. Their radiating smiles illuminated the hall, and the look of awe on their tiny faces warmed the hearts of Pastoral Work members who busily organized games and engaged in lively dance and animation routines.
The crowing jewel of the party for the children, however, was when each of them received a beautiful Christmas gift, which members of the NDU community had generously donated during the “Charity Tree” event.
