Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) hosted a delegation from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” one of the largest universities in Bulgaria. Professor Dimitar Vesselinov and Associate Professor Milena Yordanova visited NDU in the company of the Bulgarian Charges D’Affaires in Lebanon, Anatoli Deshev.
The Delegation was hosted by the Faculty of Humanities (FH), and had a productive meeting with Dr. Kamal Abouchedid, Dean of the FH and Professor of Education at NDU, to discuss the different opportunities for cooperation between the two universities in the fields of philosophy, religion, linguistic studies and education. The meeting explored the possibility of joint application to Erasmus+, common research, exchange of professors, and exchange of students. Dr. Abouchedid presented the different programs and centers at the Faculty, the added value that the expertise of NDU professors can bring to such cooperation, and gave the guests an overview of the international cooperation that the Faculty currently has. Dr. Abouchedid and Professor Vesselinov agreed on the next steps to advance the cooperation, commencing with exchange of MOU samples.
After the meeting Dr. Elie Al Hindy, Associate Professor at the Department of Government and International Relations – Faculty of Law and Political Science, accompanied the guests for a tour around the university and introduced them to the campus and facilities.
