March 25, 2019 – The Campus Ministry and Pastoral Community at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) celebrated its annual Family Day with the Pastoral Community members’ parents spending the day in the Shouf district. Fr. Walid Nassif, the University Chaplain in the Shouf Campus provided a guided tour, which began with the Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Nassif in St. Georges Church - Kneisseh followed by a walking trip in the countryside and a detailed explanation of the history of each village, with a brief visit of an abandoned convent where community members took in the amazing view with many memorable pictures.
The group then headed to the Mount of The Cross where they visited the Lamb of God shrine and Blessed Yacoub the Cappuccin church, followed by a tour of the beautiful town of Deir el Kamar. The Pastoral Community members invited their parents to lunch and celebrated two birthdays. The journey concluded with the families riding back to NDU main headquarters.
