The Campus Ministry and Pastoral Work at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) organized on Thursday, December 7, 2017, a “Marian Prayer Evening” to celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in the presence of a number of NDU community members and around 130 worshipers who came to pray.
Naya Faddoul Nasr was the guest speaker and Nada Sahlani was the guest of honor. Sahlani, who runs a dance school, brought her students along to praise God through captivating dances of worship.
The program included praying of the Holy Rosary, testimony of faith with Nasr, who described her journey with God and how she faced her difficulties, which made her into the person she is today—a person full of faith and strength. The program also included a reflection, and litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary where the University Chaplain General at NDU Fr. Albert Assaf and the University Chaplains at NDU Fr. Jean-Pierre Eid and Fr. Antonio el-Feghali crowned the Blessed Virgin Mary with flowers, walked in a procession, and blessed the faithful.
Pastoral Work Members voiced the choir and were accompanied by the Pastoral Band.
Fr. El-Feghali, who has been in the mission abroad for more than six years, expressed his joy and pride in participating in such a beautiful evening prayer, and hoped that more students, faculty, and staff would attend future Marian Prayer evenings.
The evening ended with Sahlani’s students performing an inspirational dance of worship.
