NDU’S “7/8 LIVE DYNAMIC RADIO SHOW” ON RADIO LIBAN!

Good Journalism is a combination between theory and practice. In the context of the JOU 466 Seminar Series class, the Department of Media Studies (DMS) at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), in collaboration with Radio Liban, will officially launch this week the 7/8 Live Dynamic Radio Show. NDU lecturer and MTV news Senior Reporter George Eid will moderate the show joined eight Journalism students: Eva Oueiss, Anass Barakeh, Julia Hussein, Katya Shoucair, Lea Moutran, and Helen Zein Eddine.

Tune in to Radio Liban (98.1, 98.5, 96.2 FM) every Friday from 8 p.m. till 9 p.m. to enjoy a variety of segments, ranging from the cultural agenda and technology to travel and tourism, fashion, plastic surgery, science, and sports.

Eid, the brainchild behind the idea, said, “The DMS at NDU has always strived to impart in its students the necessary skills, and I wanted to personally take this experience farther by creating a real work environment for my students. So what better way to achieve that end than by engaging them in a real radio show where they can apply what they learned in class and embark on a career while still at university? I am hoping that this experience will open new horizons for them in the media world."

Oueiss, one of the co-hosts, said, "The media has always fascinated me, and I am delighted to be part of this challenging project that will guide me in improving my technical skills and putting the first stone of a promising journalistic journey”.
