The Faculty of Engineering is pleased to announce that all its undergraduate degree programs have been officially and fully accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology.
NDU is the first and only university in Lebanon to receive the ABET accreditation for its undergraduate Engineering programs across all its campuses: Main Campus, North Lebanon Campus and Shouf Campus.
On this occasion, the Vice President of Academic Affairs at NDU, Dr. Elie Badr stated, “with this momentous seal of quality assurance, the Faculty of Engineering became a major player in Engineering education on the national, regional and international academic arena supported by cutting edge laboratories and technological facilities at a fraction of the tuition charged by the other institutions, and always mindful and guided by our Mission.”
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Michel Hayek, congratulated the entire engineering team for a great achievement and to NDU for a well-deserved success at both national and international scales. He also explained that receiving the ABET accreditation is a milestone accomplishment and signifies a historical moment in the life of the Faculty of Engineering.
ABET accreditation assures that programs meet standards to produce graduates ready to enter critical technical fields that are leading the way in innovation and emerging technologies, and anticipating the welfare and safety needs of the public.
