The Japanese Ambassador to Lebanon, H.E. Mr. Takeshi Okubo, kindly invited Dr. Hani Zgheib, Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), and 22 selected students from the course, “Topics in Japanese Architecture,” to his residence in Yarzé, on May 21.
A summary presentation of the course was delivered by Dr. Zgheib, followed by a lunch in the garden of the residence.
A rich discussion was held between Mr. Ambassador and the students about their concerns and aspirations. According to H.E.: “Priority should be given to the new generation, who are qualified in their knowledge and creativity, as they are the main driving engine for socio-economic development.”
This is one of a series of events aimed at strengthening the relation between NDU and the Japanese Embassy, fostering a rich dynamic of cultural dialogue and mutual advancement.
