Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) and KPMG, Lebanon, signed on March 6, 2018, at the NDU main campus, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU); thereby, officially concretizing a relationship for collaboration between the two institutions.
In attendance at the signing were NDU President Fr. Pierre Najem, Vice-President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) at NDU Dr. Elie Badr, Senior Officer at Department of Career and Placement, Office of Student Affairs at NDU Nancy el-Ghoul, and KPMG Lebanon CEO Mr. Nafez Almorhabi.
KPMG is a Lebanese partnership and a member firm of the KPMG network of independent member firms affiliated with KPMG International Cooperative (“KPMG International”), a Swiss entity providing services in the areas of assurance, advisory and tax.
For his part, Fr. Najem welcomed all present and said, “Our responsibility toward God and toward the community is to graduate ambassadors who reflect the image of NDU as a leading institution of higher education focused on providing the finest education.”
He added, “This strategic partnership represents a shared vision between NDU and KPMG; we take a proactive approach to developing the employability of our graduates. As such, our curricula adequately prepare our students to develop qualifications and skills to put them ahead in their chosen careers.”
El-Ghoul said, “The work environment is becoming more and more competitive; thus having a challenging internship and/or a recruitment opportunity, is the only guarantee for career growth. This is why we are adopting a strategy to meet both, the educational and behavioral needs, so our students can be easily selected for any vacancy.”
