As the Christmas season approaches, the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences (FNHS) at Notre Dame University-Louaize Shouf Campus (NDU-SC) partook in a food stand bake sale fundraising event themed, “Lend a Hand,” organized by Nutrition in the Life Cycle (NTR 435) students and the Health Club, and supervised by Dr. Lara Youssef and Rita Helou.
Over the six-day intermittent period (November 7-9, 2017, and December 5-7, 2017), students prepared, displayed, and sold food items on campus to help raise funds for eventual donation to the orphanage Beit al-Yatim in Abey.
On Saturday, December 10, 2017, the students, on behalf of the University, delivered to the orphanage the much-needed donations. This event succeeded in sharing with the community the light, hope, and love that NDU espouses.
