SEMINAR: WASTE IN LEBANON

The Faculty of Engineering (FE) at Notre Dame University-Louaize North Lebanon Campus (NDU-NLC) organized on Wednesday April 25, 2018, a seminar titled, “Waste: A Problem or An Opportunity,” presented by Engineer Mounzer Fouad Boustany.

NLC Director Fr. Francois Akl delivered the welcome note, emphasizing the importance of the subject and lamenting the fact that it was still a looming crisis in Lebanon.  FE Coordinator at NLC Dr. Chady el-Moucary presented before faculty, staff and students the guest speaker, Engineer Boustany, and stressed the insightful and pertinent experience that Boustany gained through his wealth of experience since the early 1990s, working with international companies in various European and Arab countries.

This significantly informative and comprehensive presentation scrutinized all perspectives related to the afore-mentioned waste issues in Lebanon and the horizons/benefits of various solutions.

The presentation concluded with a Q&A session followed by notes from El-Moucary. Fr. Akl delivered the closing speech and presented Boustany with a trophy on behalf of the FE, as a symbol of gratitude and friendship, and in recognition of his effort and dedication.
