Department of Architecture students at the Ramez G. Chagoury Faculty of Architecture, Arts and Design (FAAD), Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), in collaboration with the Municipality of Oqaibeh, recently organized a street renovation architectural competition.
The street is the principal arterial, connecting the highway to the town center. As a principal route, its role is vital and serves as a main intersection extension to the area where most events are celebrated.
NDU students presented their entries to a jury composed of municipality council members and FAAD lecturers. The winning project was awarded to Ramzi Sfeir and the second prize went to Had el-Baba and Mazen Zahalan.
The distribution of awards took place on October 31, 2017, at the main campus in the Office of NDU President Fr. Pierre Najem.
