Dr. Maria Bou Zeid, chairperson of the Department of Media Studies (DMS) at the Faculty of Humanities (FH), Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), attended the first TLQAA+ Internal Quality Assurance training session held between October 17 and 18, 2017, at the University of Lorraine, France, as part of the EU ERASMUS+ Program-funded project titled, “Program Evaluation for Transparency and Recognition of Skills and Qualifications” (TLQAA+).
The focus of this training was on internal quality assurance in higher education institutions with special emphasis on linking programs to specific competencies. The training served to encourage capacity building of faculty members and administrators and gave them the opportunity to reflect on their own institution’s internal quality assurance system as well as the chance to exchange best practices in this domain.
Dr. Bou Zeid said, “This hands-on training helped me reflect on the importance of quality in academic institutions for the sake of all students.”
