Karen Atallah, a Chemical Engineering student at the Faculty of Engineering (FE), was exclusively selected to spend one semester in the University of Alabama through the Global Undergraduate Exchange Student Program (UGRAD) sponsored by the U.S. Embassy.
Global UGRAD finalists, among which four Lebanese students were qualified including Karen, will attend a leadership and career development symposium in Washington, D.C.
Karen will have the opportunity to gain knowledge, acquire skills, and connect with a network of likeminded individuals within the Engineering community. Atallah expressed how grateful she was for the support NDU provided and the guidance she received from her instructors. “Follow your passion,” she highlighted while sharing her aspirations to pursue a Master of Science in Biochemical Engineering to design and create technologies that aid the healthcare industry among others.
The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program provides one-semester scholarships to outstanding undergraduate students from around the world for non-degree full-time study combined with community service, professional development, and cultural enrichment.
