This volume includes the papers given in Lebanon at
the month-long international seminar titled “Compas-
sion and Forgiveness in the World Philosophical Tradi-
tions”, which took place at Notre Dame University-
Louaizé during the month of October, 2013.

and/ or that “man is a social animal”; this is true, but
unless he is also a “forgiving animal” he is not a
human animal at all”.
