FAAD Studios
The FAAD studios are designed to meet the diverse needs of Architecture, Art, and Design programs. Equipped with professional drafting tables and specialized tools, these studios support all courses in Architecture, Design, and Fine Arts.
MAC Computer Laboratory
Graphic Design and Fashion Design students benefit from the MAC Computer Laboratory, featuring up-to-date Mac computers and the latest software to enhance their performance.
Photography Laboratory
The Photography Laboratory offers a comprehensive learning environment for students in Architecture, Design, Art, and other disciplines at NDU. Students learn to capture, develop, and print images using both digital and analog techniques. The lab is equipped with the latest technology and darkrooms for advanced analog printing, providing hands-on experience under the guidance of qualified instructors.
Dorothy Salhab Kazemi - Ceramic Workshop
The Ceramic Workshop features two kilns and multiple wheel tables. Students engage in manual clay work, including slab and coil building, throwing, and glazing. The workshop includes a terrace with views of pine trees.
Metal and Wood Workshop
The Metal and Wood Workshop provides essential tools for Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Fashion Design students. It bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application in design methodologies.
Silk Screen Printing Workshop
This workshop supports Graphic Design students with hands-on silk screen printing techniques. It includes a movable type printing facility, enhancing the practical application of design concepts.
Smart Rooms
FAAD's 23 smart classrooms are equipped with Active Boards Touch, and an additional 12 feature LCD projectors.
Architecture Computer Workshops
Two computer workshops for Architecture and Interior Design students include 15 computers, an LCD projector, and projection screen, with the latest graphic software and Ecotect installed.
Design Computer Workshop
Graphic Design and Fashion Design students have access to two fully equipped computer workshops with 19 G4 Macintosh computers, featuring the latest graphic software.
Fashion Design Studio
The Fashion Design facilities include three studios: one with mannequins and large pattern-making tables, another with sewing machines and a steam iron, and a third with a Macintosh computer workshop for digital illustration and pattern making. The studio also features a catwalk for fashion shows.
Music Department Facilities
The Music Department includes three rehearsal halls with projection facilities and pianos, and six small practice rooms for individual music instruction. All spaces are acoustically isolated and equipped with modern sound systems.
Faculty of Business Administration and Economics (FBAE)
Rooms' Division Laboratory
The Rooms' Division Laboratory offers practical experience in hotel front office and housekeeping operations. Students gain hands-on experience with front desk practices, reservations, and property management systems.
Restaurant Demonstration Laboratory
This lab provides a practical setting for students to learn restaurant service operations, including setting, serving, and banqueting. It also covers the role of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in dining and includes tasting sessions.
Kitchen Laboratories
The kitchen laboratories offer both demonstration and full operation components. Students participate in cooking preparation, execution, and menu planning for banqueting events, including tasks such as purchasing, storing, and stewarding.
Dealing Room Lab
The FBAE trading room, equipped with Bloomberg and Eikon platforms, provides a dynamic learning environment for financial markets. Students can access real-world economic and financial data, implement trading strategies, and perform simulations.
Bank Audi Executive Lounge
In partnership with Bank Audi, the FBAE has established an executive lounge for faculty, graduate students, and business professionals. This space fosters dialogue and professional development in a comfortable, informal setting, enhancing students' professional awareness and intellectual curiosity.
