Mission
The mission of the Faculty of Humanities is to provide NDU students with opportunities to fully develop their intellectual and interpersonal capacities. The Faculty aims to instill an appreciation for culture and a commitment to justice and peace. Grounded in a liberal arts education, the Faculty equips students with a well-rounded knowledge base, fostering critical and independent thinking, reflection on timeless issues, and the ability to shape progress. Additionally, the Faculty prepares students for professional careers through specialized degrees.
Vision
Over the next five years, the Faculty aims to position NDU as a top choice for undergraduate programs in Education, English, Physical Education, Psychology, Arabic, Translation, Media Studies, and minors in Philosophy and Sociology. The curriculum will be regularly updated, emphasizing career-focused courses. Efforts will also promote interdisciplinary studies, research, and alignment with Ex Corde Ecclesiae, addressing key contemporary issues. Graduate programs will expand to support skills development, capacity building, and adult learners' professional growth.
