FAQ

How can I determine if I am eligible for graduation?

To check your eligibility for graduation, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have completed your graduation application
2. Log in to your Student Information System (SIS) to verify your final academic clearance.

If you encounter any issues while completing the form, such as outstanding payments, missing credits or grades, or any other difficulties preventing you from submitting the form, please reach out to the Office of the Registrar. You can contact them at commencement@ndu.edu.lb.

Are students allowed to participate in the Commencement ceremony if they are graduating during the Summer session?

Only graduates who completed their degree requirements in Summer 2023, Fall 2023, and Spring 2024 are eligible to participate in the Commencement Ceremony of 2024. The Walker policy has been revoked, allowing Summer session 2024 graduates to participate in the Commencement Ceremony of 2025.

What happens if I cannot attend the Commencement ceremony? Will I still be considered graduated?

Yes, if you have met all the graduation requirements and have filled out the Graduation form on your SIS, you will be recognized as an NDU graduate. Your absence from the ceremony does not affect your graduation status. In the event that you are unable to attend, your name will be called out as "in absentia."

As a Summer/Fall 2023 graduate, I missed the dedicated sessions for the Commencement Ceremony Photos. Can I have my photo taken with the Spring 2024 graduates?

Summer and Fall 2023 graduates who missed their dedicated photo sessions are welcome to join the Spring 2024 graduates on June 13 and 14 to have their photos taken. Please remember to adhere to the dress code.

Will the Commencement ceremony be livestreamed?

Absolutely! The Commencement Ceremony will be livestreamed on the NDU Facebook page, @NDULebanon. Additionally, the livestream will be available for later viewing.

Do my parents, who are NDU alumni, receive specific seating arrangements?

If your parents are alumni, please get in touch with the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs to discuss special seating arrangements. You can reach them at alumni.affairs@ndu.edu.lb.
