Beloved graduates, As you shift the tassel of your caps from left to right during the conclusion of the Commencement Ceremony of 2024, you will officially join the ranks of esteemed alumni from an accredited institution of higher education. The roots of this institution extend back to the 18th century, but our true foundation at NDU has never been composed of mere brick and mortar or an accredited curriculum. Rather, it has always been you, from the Synod of 1736 to the present day, and beyond. You, dear individuals, are the very building blocks of our establishment, the purpose that drives us, and the cause we champion. Just as a mother nurtures her young doves, enabling them to soar to great heights, we at NDU have had the distinct privilege of regarding you as our own children and family. As you gracefully stride across that stage, do so with an overwhelming sense of pride, holding your heads high, hearts brimming with hope and ambition, and an unwavering faith in God.
