The Freshman Science program consists of a minimum of 30 credits and is equivalent to the official Lebanese Baccalaureate Part II (Scientific Strands). It typically requires at least 2 semesters to complete. The program includes courses from the following areas:
- Humanities and Social Sciences: 9 credits
- Natural Sciences and Mathematics: 12 credits
- Electives: 9 credits
Based on their intended majors, freshman science students will receive guidance from the freshman science advisor to select specific courses necessary for declaring a major within the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences (FNAS) or other faculties. The table below outlines the required freshman courses for each FNAS major.

For majors outside the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, students should consult the Freshman Science advisor. Freshman Arts students may choose from Biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or Management Information Systems (MIS) as their undergraduate majors within the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences. Those selecting Biology, Biochemistry, or Environmental Science are required to have completed either CHM 101 or BIO 101. Additionally, for acceptance into MIS, completion of MAT 101 is necessary.
